1/21/09 = Cinco de Mayo!

It looks like a sure thing that the next President is going to be in favor of immigration reform, or as we who are stuck in the Reality Dimension call it, Amnesty For You and Your Whole Damn Family. It's scary to think that sometime during the period our intrepid press calls The Honeymoon, the new President might want to slip it in on us, if you get my drift.
(Yes, GWB was in favor of it and it didn't pass, but we can't count on the next Prez being as unpopular as Young George has been. Even those of us who once loved GWB wish he would go away, quickly.)

Here in Boston, all my liberal pals think if one is against amnesty for our illegal alien friends, then one is a racist. But if being against a free Amnesty Pass Plus Fabulous Prizes for all the illegally present Irish, Scots, Canadians, English, Mexican, Chinese, Arab, French, Italians, Russians, South Africans, Australians, makes me a racist, then I guess I'm a racist.  As someone once said, all it takes to be considered a racist by a white liberal is to best him in an argument.

What I don't understand is how you can be a Democrat and say you're for unions and the working class and yet still be in favor of legalizing the "undocumented workers."

The "Nice People" want to throw open the doors of the country and let anyone in who'd like to come. How is that different than throwing open the doors to your house and letting in anyone who wants to live there?

I'm curious to see if anyone reads this.

Thanks!
